Upgrading research infrastructure RIUM

RIUM was a directly approved project under the call of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, Science and Innovation (now Ministry of Education, Science and Youth). The project persued the overall vision of international competitiveness of research, innovations and technological development, in accordance with the fields of the Smart Specialization Strategy of Slovenia (S4).

Through the investment in upgrading the research infrastructure (RIUM), the project created conditions for the use of state-of-the-art scientific research equipment under the principle of open access by university and other researchers. The investment aimed to support high-quality research, increas cooperation in research and development projects, and promote the broader development of specialised expertise by ensuring the wide availability of the research infrastructure for educational and training purposes.

Basic data on the operation:

As part of the project, research infrastructure is updated in research fields having a breakthrough potential and supporting development of knowledge significant for UM development. 

In the context of intangibles, a software tool was purchased – National Instruments ASL+, LabVIEW and Multisim. The specified licensed software within the project enables capturing and processing various measurement data.
