UM provides students with top exchange possibilities, strengthens its international visibility, represents an excellent destination for international students for studies.

International exchange strengthens competences and enables students for an easier and quicker entry to the labour market.

More and more students decide for studies, training or a placement abroad. Through the mobility programmes Erasmus+, CEEPUS and bilateral cooperation, University of Maribor offers to students exchange with more than 500 partner institutions in more than 70 countries in the world.

We wish to provide all students with most up-to-date education, so they may become competent to work, a profession and living in a global society. Student mobility has a relevant impact to vocational development and development of so-called soft skills of students – as there are inter-cultural consciousness, flexibility, innovativeness, work in an intercultural society. Namely, all this is expected on the labour market and essentially influences students’ employability.
