Bringing Research to the Public

In line with its strategy, the University of Maribor strengthens the visibility of scientific and artistic research within the regional, national, European and wider research landscape, while pursuing research excellence and sustainable, socially responsible development. Through events, initiatives and other forms of engagement, the University showcases its researchers and artists, their achievements, and the value of the knowledge they create for society. The University of Maribor Festival of Science and Arts – FestUM, European Researchers’ Night, Research Stories, UMetnost exhibitions, the UMniverzum magazine, and other activities bring the University’s research and artistic endeavours closer to the wider public, foster dialogue and mutual trust, and enable the active engagement of relevant stakeholders by building meaningful connections between research, the arts and society.
