As part of the activities of the ATHENA European Athena University, a delegation from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Izidor Mlakar and Valentino Šafran) attended the Hannover Fair, the largest industrial fair in Europe.

At the fair, they presented an innovative upgrade of the Pepper robot called Frida, enabling advanced human interaction. Frida spoke to visitors about FERI, ATHENA and the HoSmartAI project, under which the robot upgrade was developed.

Coordinated by the Universität Siegen, ATHENA contributed to the joint stand of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the federal state of Germany where Siegen is located. Together with the Université d’Orléans, the Politécnico do Porto and the University of Maribor, they presented the ATHENA’s offers and research priorities to companies from all over the world.
