The purpose of the 2026 First Repeat Public Call of the University of Maribor for Early-Stage Researcher Candidates is to select candidates for Early-Stage Researchers who will participate in research work during their doctoral studies until the completion of the doctoral degree at the University of Maribor, based on a fixed-term employment contract.

Two positions are available at: 

• University of Maribor, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer (1 position), 

• University of Maribor, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (1 position). 

Applications submitted to the email address raziskujmo@um.si by 17 July 2026 inclusive will be considered as submitted on time. 

Only timely and complete applications from candidates who meet the call requirements will be included in the selection procedure. An application will be considered incomplete if the candidate does not submit the mandatory documents and evidence required by this call, or if it is not possible to determine from the application whether the candidate meets the call requirements.

Candidates who are not yet enrolled in a doctoral study programme must apply separately for doctoral studies through the Call For Enrolment in Postgraduate Study Programmes of the University of Maribor​ in the 2026/2027 Ac​ademic Year​.  

Enrolment in doctoral studies must be completed via the eVŠ online portal.
